Terms &
Conditions
This statement was last updated on 26/07/2026.
These Terms & Conditions apply to services provided by Maverick Plumbing & Heating (“we”, “us” or “our”) and to the use of our website.
Our Services
Maverick Plumbing & Heating provides plumbing, heating, hot water, leak detection, repair, installation, maintenance and emergency plumbing services primarily throughout Dublin and surrounding areas.
The availability of particular services may depend on location, technician availability, the nature of the work and the equipment or materials required.
Bookings & Appointments
Appointments may be arranged by telephone, email, our website or another communication method offered by us.
We will make reasonable efforts to attend at the agreed time. However, appointment and arrival times may be affected by traffic, emergency call-outs, previous jobs or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Where a delay occurs, we will endeavour to keep the customer informed where reasonably possible.
Emergency Call-Outs
Emergency and out-of-hours services may be subject to additional call-out or labour charges.
Where possible, applicable charges will be communicated before attendance.
Emergency work may initially be limited to making the property safe, stopping a leak, isolating equipment or preventing further damage. Additional repairs or replacement work may need to be arranged separately.
Quotations & Estimates
Any quotation or estimate is based on the information available to us at the time it is provided.
A quotation may change where:
-
Additional faults or damage are discovered.
-
The information originally supplied was incomplete or inaccurate.
-
Additional labour, parts or materials are required.
-
Access to the affected area is more difficult than reasonably anticipated.
-
Existing installations do not meet applicable requirements or are unsafe.
-
Additional work is requested by the customer.
Where reasonably practicable, we will inform the customer before carrying out significant additional chargeable work.
Unless stated otherwise, quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue.
Call-Out & Diagnostic Charges
A call-out, inspection or diagnostic charge may apply regardless of whether repair work is subsequently carried out.
The charge covers attendance and, where applicable, the time spent investigating or diagnosing the reported problem.
Where a fault cannot be repaired during the initial visit, additional visits, labour, materials or specialist equipment may be required and charged separately.
Customer Responsibilities
The customer is responsible for providing:
-
Safe and reasonable access to the property and work area.
-
Accurate information regarding the reported problem.
-
Access to relevant water, heating and electrical controls where required.
-
Permission for us to carry out the agreed work.
-
Information about known hazards or risks at the property.
The customer must ensure that they are authorised to instruct us to carry out work at the property.
Access & Concealed Services
ome plumbing and leak detection work may require access behind walls, ceilings, floors, tiles, kitchen units, sanitary ware or other finished surfaces.
We will take reasonable care when accessing concealed plumbing or heating systems. However, some disruption or damage may be unavoidable where access is necessary to identify or repair a fault.
Unless specifically included in our quotation, reinstatement or decorative work such as plastering, painting, tiling, flooring, carpentry or decorating is not included in our plumbing service.
Existing Installations
We are not responsible for defects, deterioration, corrosion, poor workmanship or non-compliant installations that existed before our work commenced.
When working on older plumbing or heating systems, existing components may fail when disturbed, isolated, drained or repressurised.
Where we identify an unsafe or defective installation, we may recommend additional remedial work.
We reserve the right to refuse to carry out work that we reasonably believe would be unsafe, unlawful or contrary to applicable standards.
Materials & Parts
Unless otherwise agreed, we may select suitable materials, parts and components required to complete the work.
Where a specific product is unavailable, we may propose a reasonably equivalent alternative.
Parts and materials remain our property until all amounts due in relation to the relevant work have been paid in full, to the extent permitted by law.
Manufacturer warranties may apply separately to certain products and components.
Customer-Supplied Materials
Where a customer asks us to install materials, fixtures, appliances or components supplied by the customer, we cannot accept responsibility for defects, incompatibility, incorrect sizing or failures associated with those products.
Additional labour required because customer-supplied products are unsuitable, incomplete or defective may be chargeable.
Payment
Payment is due in accordance with the terms stated on the quotation, invoice or other agreement provided to the customer.
Unless otherwise agreed, payment may be required upon completion of the work.
For larger projects, installations or work requiring significant materials, we may require a deposit or staged payments before or during the work.
Customers should raise any query regarding an invoice as soon as reasonably possible.
Cancellations
If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please provide as much notice as reasonably possible.
We reserve the right to charge a reasonable cancellation fee where an appointment is cancelled at short notice or where our technician attends the property but is unable to gain access.
Any applicable cancellation charge will take account of the circumstances and costs reasonably incurred.
Workmanship & Faults
We aim to carry out all work with reasonable care and skill.
If you believe there is a problem with work completed by us, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible and provide details of the issue.
We must be given a reasonable opportunity to inspect the reported problem and, where appropriate, rectify defective workmanship.
This does not affect any statutory rights available to consumers under Irish law.
Damage & Liability
We will take reasonable care while working at your property.
However, we will not be responsible for pre-existing damage or for damage that could not reasonably have been avoided while accessing, diagnosing or repairing concealed plumbing or heating systems.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where doing so would be prohibited by law.
Water Damage
Customers should contact us promptly where a leak, burst pipe or other water-related emergency occurs.
Although we will take reasonable steps to stop or reduce further water loss, we cannot guarantee that existing or consequential water damage can be prevented.
Customers remain responsible for taking reasonable steps to protect their property and belongings and, where appropriate, notifying their home, landlord or commercial insurer.
Completion of Work
Where possible, we will complete work during the initial visit.
Some work may require additional visits due to parts availability, further investigation, specialist equipment, drying time, access requirements or additional faults discovered during the work.
We will communicate the need for further work where reasonably practicable.
Photographs
We may take photographs of plumbing or heating installations where reasonably necessary for diagnostic purposes, documenting completed work, quotations, technical records or warranty purposes.
We will not intentionally publish photographs that identify a customer’s private property for marketing purposes without appropriate permission.

We aim to ensure that information published on our website is accurate and current.
However, website information is provided for general information and should not be treated as a professional diagnosis of a specific plumbing or heating problem.

Consumer Rights
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to restrict or remove any rights that a consumer has under applicable Irish consumer protection law.
Where any provision of these Terms conflicts with a mandatory consumer right, the applicable statutory consumer protection provisions will take precedence.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions periodically to reflect changes to our services, business practices or legal requirements.
The latest version will be published on our website with the date on which it was last updated.
